A year to really look back and reflect on.
2022 a year to really put heath first.  #PRIORITY

What is your plan?  What can you do to be proactive in the journey against the current virus?

What can you do in your own personal battle against aging which can sometimes throw us some serious curveballs?

I have had my own curveballs thrown at me in the past year with thyroid and bone density changes. 

After menopause most women will develop osteoporosis as they age.  It is a matter of time.  If you are post-menopausal and have not been told by your Physician to get a bone scan, request one!   

Be aware of what is happening in your body. 

I had no idea that my thyroid issue was causing my body not to absorb calcium.  You CAN slow down the process but must be aware and take action.  Exercise (strength/resist training is key)  and calcium supplements are critical!   I have learned what I need to do for the calcium to be absorbed.  I took action.  Wish I had known years ago.

I have been committed to daily exercise now for 37 years.  And, blessed to have made exercise my career for 28 years.  Helping women be their healthiest self has been a true joy in my life.

So, what are a few KEY things you can do?

  1.  Make exercise a priority.  Map out a plan and a schedule and list the reasons why you are truly committed to it. 
  2. Develop a healthier nutrition plan daily.  Start exchanging your bad choices for good choices.  Drink water instead of soda.  Eat grilled fish or chicken with a salad instead of a loaded sub. Drink sparkling water instead of wine (#sugar!).    You get the picture.  Making one small change and then two and then three can literally change your life and add years to it.
  3. Will it be easy? Probably not.  Change can be hard.  But, HARD is also getting so sick that it changes your life.  Or, having so much pain in your body because your knees, back and hips have gotten so weak for lack of exercise.  Or being hunched over as you age because your bones have gotten so weak.  I am fighting this one tooth and nail and I know that I know that 3X3FIT is helping my spine in so many ways including holding on to my height! 

I am just home from my annual appointment and no height loss! That is a win!  I have scoliosis so this has been a life-long battle.  I must exercise to keep my muscles strong to support my spine and keep it upright!
